POSITION SUMMARY:
The Digital Marketing Associate Director role is based in the South San Francisco headquarters, reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing and Training. The Digital Marketing Associate Director will be responsible for the development of digital initiatives, connecting brand objectives to media solutions, and identifying opportunities to optimize and pilot innovative marketing tactics. This position involves planning and executing high-quality, timely, and impactful digital omni-channel HCP and Patient experiences through social and other innovative media platforms, working closely with promo marketing, legal, regulatory, and business analytics. Salary range $163,000 to $192,000.
A successful candidate will have a strong pharmaceutical/biotechnology marketing and digital background with broad experience across multiple aspects of digital marketing, and the ability to use technology and data to achieve brand objectives for Rigel approved products. This role will also be key to assist with the development of the digital engagement strategy and tactical implementation to support newly approved/acquired products for Rigel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Implement and oversee marketing campaigns to HCPs and Patients across digital, social media, customer third party platforms and traditional channels that connect brand objectives with media solutions for Rigel approved products.
Define and leverage key performance metrics to measure the performance of marketing campaigns, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions to optimize marketing efforts to ensure positive ROI and brand objective achievement. Concisely communicate insights, metrics and optimizations to leadership.
Develop and implement lead generation strategies and campaigns that drive qualified leads which support the sales pipeline.
Collaborate with the data and analytics team on marketing data integrations and reporting dashboards.
Collaborate with the marketing promotions team to ensure strategic alignment and brand messaging are integrated into multi-channel marketing tactics.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge on current technologies and platforms available to engage with customers to proactively identify novel approaches for consideration to achieve brand goals.
Gain approval for marketing strategies and tactics through the internal review processes, ensuring that all activities follow regulatory, compliance and legal requirements and efficiently approved for promotional use.
Consult and collaborate with cross functional partners to support their digital strategy and initiatives. Ensure alignment with overall brand strategy and holistic customer experience.
Effectively manage third party vendors (advertising agencies, media purchasing vendors, CRM vendors, etc) to ensure their understanding of brand strategy and desired outcomes and deliver initiatives outlined within the operation plan and budget that support core strategies.
Attendance in the South San Francisco headquarters weekly for essential meetings and workshops with cross functional collaborators, promotional review committee, the management team and other headquarter based employees.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS :
10+ years of biopharmaceutical industry marketing and digital marketing expertise. Oncology experience preferred.
Strategic thinker with ability to formulate, develop, execute and optimize strategy.
Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical/biotech digital marketing; creative and insights-driven, adept at delivering ideas, content, and metrics.
Proven experience with organic and paid digital marketing strategies (SEO, SEM, email marketing, content marketing, social media, social listening, influencer engagement, etc).
Project management skills including analytical assessment, timeline and budget management, planning, prioritization, objective setting, meeting management, plan execution, and performance management.
Aptitude for creative thinking, problem solving, effectively managing multiple projects and ability work independently.
Ability to adapt and thrive within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Excellent communications skills with an ability to efficiently and productively communicate both orally and written.
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to lead, interact with, focus, resolve conflict and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of cultures, and disciplines with and without authority.
Ability to work well as part of a team and expertise as a leader with well-developed influencing and negotiating skills.
Strong presence with ability to command respect through exercise of sound business judgment and clear decision-making.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related fields (required); MBA (preferred).
