Summary/ ObjectiveThe Loan Servicing Representative is responsible to perform a variety of loan servicing functions in connection with commercial, real estate and consumer loans including processing the final closing and distribution of paid loans, preparation of payoff demand statements and maintenance, tracking and review of all pending loan documents and exceptions.
Experience & Education Requirements:
Associate degree or equivalent lending experience
Background in financial institution's real estate, commercial and/or consumer lending procedures
Good understanding of lending procedures, Federal and State lending regulations
Essential Job Functions:
Provides payoff loan quotes, processes paid loans and ensures distribution of paid Commercial, Real Estate and Consumer loans according to established procedures
Assists customers with basic loan and mortgage inquiries
Sets up HEAT and consumer loans and all commercial /commercial real estate loans in Bank's core system and ensures that the information is complete and accurate in accordance with loan file documentation
Prepares payoff letters for all loans
Prepares post payoff loan package, including discharges, paid Notes, and customer letters
Responds to research and documentation inquiries from internal and external customers
Maintains rate indices spreadsheet
Prepares variety of reports
Submit HEAT Loan remittance reimbursements MASSSAVE and posts transactions upon receipt of remittance funds
Maintains knowledge of department policies and procedures through internal and external training activities
Complies with all federal and local rules, laws and regulations
Orders supplies for department and second floor, maintains equipment such as copier and postage meter
Required knowledge, skills & abilities:
Strong knowledge of banking regulations and policies and procedures
Knowledge of loan processing practices, methods and procedures
Knowledge of Commercial, Real Estate and Consumer loan files and documents
Good interpersonal, communication & computer skills
Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to provide courteous, knowledgeable, and professional customer service on the phone
Ability to assume responsibility, display initiative, exercise good judgment and make and act upon decisions with minimal
Ability to perform accurate data input into a variety of
Successful completion of in-house training programs or other approved training programs
Compliance with BSA regulations as appropriate to the position
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to use standard equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers
Requires manual dexterity and sitting and standing for longer periods of time
Must be able to work schedules that meet the needs of the Bank, which may include early morning, evening and /or weekend hours
