MAINTENANCE PLANNER
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Domtar is currently seeking a Maintenance Planner for our Ashdown, AR Mill. This position reports to the Maintenance Superintendent and is responsible for planning maintenance work for the areas utilizing area Craftsmen, other maintenance resources and contractors to improve safety, quality, reliability, cost and efficient operations. This is a safety sensitive position.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical/trade school diploma or equivalent work experience3 years of relevant experienceKnowledge ofmaintenance processes and planning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5 years of relevant experienceMS Office and MS Project knowledgeSAP knowledgeUnderstanding of preventative maintenance processes
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Verifying and reviewing work order notifications and planning work orders for executionCoordinating maintenance activities by working closely with operations, purchasing and stores departmentsConsistently executing the mill-wide Maintenance Management ProgramPreparing detailed job plans and documentation to support the precision maintenance effortsUpdating and maintaining equipment and part information in the CMMSConducting weekly schedule meetings with production coordinatorsReviewing executed work plans for improvement opportunitiesPerforming maintenance on-call duty within department rotationSupporting/backing-up supervisors when neededSupervising contractors as necessary
