JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for all content creation and development across all marketing channels, which includes: digital, print, social media, graphic design, video and media outreach and setting the annual strategic marketing campaign and budget for Habitat’s marketing department. Directs and visualizes all interdepartmental marketing support projects utilizing digital, print and social channels. Writes, engages, and distributes all press releases and develops and oversees messaging content on all social media channels to make sure it is brand aligned and mission driven.
The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for creating agency and ReStore storytelling, utilizing print, digital, video, and social media platforms. This position is responsible for making sure marketing collateral is delivered ahead of deadline and on budget and reviewing all purchasing of merchandise and marketing collateral and will monitor and approve all purchases and the timely filling out and submission of invoices, overseeing the work of each direct report. This is a hands on, in-person position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
Creation of marketing campaigns for the agency in all five counties, ReStores, and across departments that supports Habitat’s and ReStore’s mission and revenue drive.
Creation and overseeing all content development throughout multiple channels; supporting Development/sponsor engagement across all five counties.
Marketing the procuring of qualified applicants for Habitat homeownership across all five counties.
Develop marketing strategies for sales and services of the three ReStores.
Manages senior graphic designer and production manager and social media specialist.
Provides marketing and social media call outs for key partnerships at events, event collateral and press/communication support.
Writes copy for all marketing initiatives. Writes homeowner bios.
Manages the weekly marketing schedule and job fulfillment deadlines.
Approves and monitors marketing purchases and budget.
Produces quarterly Emmas for agency stakeholders to cement engagement and support.
Creates story telling pieces to highlight mission and homeowners through all marketing avenues.
Creates and manages content creation for social media across multiple platforms to create brand excitement and highlight key partnerships for agency and Restores, with major focus on social media for all ReStores to drive store revenue and service.
Bring all agency social media reporting under one channel and strategize how to cover content across counties.
Key contributor to comprehensive brand strategy, working with SVP of Public Affairs and Communication, to provide key leadership initiatives and direction when establishing agency branding and engagement through written, visual, and video content across multiple platforms.
Maintains overall agency brand standards set by SVP of Public Affairs and Communication in communication and marketing materials and maintains the agency communication fact sheet(s), agency and ReStore collateral, homeowner bios and storytelling, agency video production, and website content and maintenance.
Proactively seeks opportunities to raise the brand visibility and fundraising in the community through community involvement, build site support, homeowner application opportunities delivering on new ideas to reach target audiences.
Assists the SVP of Public Affairs and Communication with content and production coordination of the annual report.
Final approval of all new and existing content will be by the SVP of Public Affairs and Communication.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Content creation; must be proficient in written, visual and video storytelling and collateral production across multiple channels.
Managing marketing scheduling and budget to bring all tasks in under deadline and budget.
Setting agency brand campaigns and fulfilling departmental marketing support.
Task oriented and high organizational skills.
Self-starter with ability to energize and initiate projects and manage through to completion.
Collaborative flexible nature.
Regular and reliable attendance required.
Bring strong ability to create and move projects through under deadline and within budget, while managing others; and be a creative and accurate writer/editor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field and a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience.
Job requires entrepreneurial spirit, creative and strategic thinking, excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly adaptable personality with ability to prioritize tasks and manage large projects.
Non-profit experience including fundraising support is highly desirable.
Strong leadership and relationship management skills are essential, along with project management abilities.
Must have current experience writing and placing press releases, managing marketing collateral production, communication utilizing mainstream and social media channels with a working knowledge of social media platforms.
Directs agency communication/marketing brand materials that align with agency branding.
Must be well organized, a self-starter, and able to carry out assignments in a fast-paced environment with limited direction.
The candidate must have the ability and desire to work respectfully with people of all cultures, languages, national origins, races, ethnic backgrounds, religions, classes, immigration statuses, sexual orientations, gender identity and expressions, ages, mental or physical abilities, and other diversity factors. Must conduct all activities in accordance with Habitat principles.
TIME REQUIREMENTS:
40+ hours per week, with attendance at Habitat’s build sites and a 5-radius county presence as needed.
