eMaint X4 Software Engineering ManagerDay in the life of Engineering Manager:The Software Engineering Manager - eMaint is responsible for building excellent cross-functional software engineering teams to support the development and delivery of the industry leading SaaS eMaint CMMS solution. In a typical day the individual will split their time between guiding technical decision making on product design, consulting and coaching on industry best practices for the delivery of enterprise SaaS software, and engaging in 1-1 mentoring and development with their team members.While they are technically credible and know the details of what engineers work on, they own the delivery of their product’s commitments and actively support performance improvements and career growth opportunities for their direct reports. They adapt departmental plans and priorities to meet short-term goals and operational challenges. This individual will report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager.Responsibilities:Fostering a performance culture based on empowerment and ownershipDriving employee engagement and sustaining a culture of continuous improvementCoaching employees through obstacles and challenges with an ethos of empowermentThrough defining and observing KPIs and metrics, owns improvement initiatives related to quality, performance, and engagementExecuting continuous data-driven improvement processes to improve quality, time to market, and delivery on quality attributesActively influence the product and technology roadmaps by leveraging technical proposals and quantifying technical debtPartnering with peers, Software Architects, and Product Owners to deliver resilient, scalable, connected SaaS solutionsThrough prioritization, planning, risk assessment, and analysis of dependencies and capacity, enable meeting product milestonesFacilitating communication, collaboration, and problem-solving with teams and stakeholdersYour team:Product development within Fluke Reliability is an internationally distributed and diverse organization. We emphasize the importance of an inclusive culture welcoming diverse opinions that challenge the status quo.Experience:Required:At least three years of experience as an engineering managerAt least three years of experience developing and delivering commercially successful SaaS solutionsAt least three years of experience developing software using Agile methodologiesDemonstrable understanding of product market fit for a product for which you have been the engineering leaderDesired:Use of Scaled Agile frameworksExperience working with and leading a multi-national development teamPersonal Skills:Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skillsExceptional written, verbal, technical and interpersonal communications skillsPassion for continuous learning / continuous improvementPassion for the development and improvement of people
