We're dedicated to providing quick, consistent, exceptional service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a delicious menu for our customers featuring local and eco-friendly sourced items.Position Summary : The General Manager will oversee daily operations, including team management, inventory control, employee scheduling, quality assurance, and process improvement. This position requires strong leadership skills with the ability to implement and refine processes while ensuring high standards and fostering a positive, productive workplace. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, cost-conscious, able to think critically, operate independently, and enthusiastic about contributing to the overall success of the business.Key Responsibilities :Hiring & Training : Recruit, interview, onboard, and train employees, ensuring a skilled and customer-focused team.Team Management : Develop and maintain employee schedules, monitor attendance and overtime, and manage time-off requests. Ensure high levels of team performance and satisfaction, including handling disciplinary matters if necessary.Inventory & Stock Management : Implement inventory and stocking processes, ensuring that supplies are consistently available and efficiently used. Perform regular audits to keep an accurate track of product usage and waste.Operational Standards : Maintain, enforce, and refine employee guidelines and standard operating procedures to promote a safe, clean, and productive work environment.Social Media : Content creation, campaign development, and engagement across all social media platforms to promote Summit Coffee Co.’s online presence.Process Improvement : Implement improvement projects to streamline operations, enhance customer experience, and optimize profitability. Audit existing processes for efficiency and quality.Cost Analysis & Budgeting : Monitor and analyze the costs associated with purchasing goods and the sale of products. Implement cost-control measures to ensure stable profitability without ever compromising quality or value.Quality Assurance : Ensure that all products meet quality standards, including taste, presentation, temperature, and customer satisfaction.Customer Service Excellence : Uphold high standards for customer interactions and address any customer complaints or feedback to ensure a positive experience. We have the best customers and will always put them first.Additional Responsibilities :Barista Operations : Work alongside the baristas two shifts per week and cover for staff call outs or shortages.Qualifications :Previous management experience in a similar role, preferably in a coffee shop, quick-service restaurant, or similar environment.Proficient in inventory management, cost control, and budget management.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed.This role will require travel between various businesses around Fairbanks.
