ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT & ROLE:If you’re a developer with experience in financial reporting and analysis, underwriting, cash management or audit, our Finance department may be a perfect fit for you. We’re always on the lookout for innovative people who will bring outside-the-box thinking to our team. This role supports various areas of Express Scripts by developing, maintaining, and enhancing models used in the underwriting process. These models are primarily Excel-based tools that interact with several other applications (e.g. Oracle, Databricks, Python).ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Work on enhancement requests and complete all stages of the life cycle (e.g. design, development, testing, release)Work with Underwriting, Supply Chain, and other Finance departments to identify opportunities for model enhancements in an effort to improve the accuracy of Express Scripts’ profitability forecasting and user experiencePerform extensive testing prior to releasing new functionality into production. This testing includes code review, UAT, and Regression testingProvide support to our end-users by resolving their issues, responding to queries, and helping them analyze/interpret the results from the modelsDevelop an expert knowledge of the primary tools & applications used within the FMA teamProvide training to the pricing group around SOPs and best-practices for using the FMA’s tools and applicationsQUALIFICATIONS:Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, primarily VBA developmentSQL and experience with relational databases preferred (Oracle, TD, PostgreSQL and Databricks)Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience4+ years of relevant experience; Coding, Software Development, Finance, Underwriting, Pricing, Analytics, or similar field preferredAbility to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problemsEnsure that solutions are innovative, thorough, practical and consistent with organizational objectivesPossess a strong customer service focusCommunicate issues clearly in writing or verballyDemonstrated ability to prioritize workload to meet project deadlinesPossess a willingness to learn new tools and applicationsWork well independently as well as in a dynamic, collaborative environmentIf you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 98,200 - 163,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.We want you to be healthy, balanced, and feel secure.
