This includes fostering and managing the internal and external relationships necessary to drive diversity within the Company and the global customer base.Operationally, this role will have direct accountability for leading and fostering high impact D&I alliances with internal stakeholders across a broad matrix, and contribute to our external outreach regarding Abbott’s corporate reputation and image related to D&I. This person will work with partners to enhance our diversity recruitment initiatives, events, and partnerships to grow Abbott's diversity pipeline.Major Accountabilities:D&I/Recruiting Role Expectations:Employee NetworksEngage Employee Networks, sponsors and chairs on regular basis and drive strategic outcomes supporting Abbott D&I strategy.Organize and execute large network events.Implement and effectively communicate the D&I global strategy and detailed plans of long term and short-term achievable goals with each network.Assess and guide networks on activities in support of business outcomes.Align and Establish Partnerships with Cross-Functional Resources to Deliver High Business Impact Including:Partner with Business Human Resources organization in the implementation of activities related to the employee networks.Collaborate across Talent and Development organization to address training, recruiting, onboarding, and strategic outreach programs related to D&I.D&I Communication:Develop and deploy effective communications processes to enable the employee networks to share and amplify the work on D&I priorities.Required QualificationsDesired Professional Experience/Personal Attributes:10+ years’ experience interfacing, influencing, and driving strategy with global business and HR leaders.Demonstrated ability to execute D&I strategy planning with global business goals to deliver measurable results.Experience in leading breakthrough change in a global, complex, matrixed environment. International experience is required.A self-aware, dynamic leader with outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.A high energy leader who can think strategically, as well as operationally “roll up their sleeves” to achieve tangible results.The ability to take something BIG and break it down into achievable component parts with short term benefits while in alignment with the long-term vision.Highly developed business acumen, agility and problem-solving ability.Professional and personal presence that inspires respect and credibility from senior executive leadership, internal and external stakeholders.A proactive self-starter who instinctively seeks out and thrives on accountability for new challenges.Conveys a sense of pride, passion, and excitement.
