Project Manager
Power Solutions International (PSI) is a leading manufacturer of emissions-certified powertrains specializing in customized and fully integrated turnkey solutions for the leading global equipment manufacturers in the industrial, transportation, and energy markets manufacturers. Our facilities are housed in one million square feet of engineering, assembly, operations, and distribution space across seven facilities. We are positioned to meet the high production volumes of our customers with added capacity for growth.Summary:Reporting to the Director of Business Transformation, the Project Manager will oversee the coordination and execution of customer orders and shipments, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining strong customer relationships. This role will collaborate with internal teams (sales, engineering, and production) to manage customer expectations, troubleshoot potential issues, and streamline communication to ensure efficiency. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and problem-solver who excels in fast-paced environments and thrives on meeting customer needs. This position is based in Darien, WI.Responsibilities:Order Management:
Lead the end-to-end order fulfillment process, from initial customer request to final deliveryEnsure all customer orders are processed accurately and in accordance with company policies and timelinesCoordinate with production and inventory teams to ensure product availability aligns with customer delivery requirements
Shipment Coordination:
Manage the logistics of shipments to ensure on-time delivery, working closely with the logistics and warehouse teamsTrack and monitor shipments, proactively addressing any delays or issues, and communicate status updates to customersPartner with third-party logistics providers, as needed, to optimize shipping costs and timelines
Customer Communication:
Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding order and shipment inquiriesBuild and maintain positive customer relationships, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or issuesEnsure clear and timely communication with customers on order changes, delays, or issues that could impact delivery schedules
Problem Resolution:
Identify and address any discrepancies or challenges that may arise in the order or shipment processWork with internal teams to resolve issues quickly and efficiently while minimizing customer impactAnalyze root causes of recurring issues and implement continuous improvement strategies
Project Management:
Lead cross-functional projects focused on optimizing order fulfillment and shipment processesEnsure projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality standardsDevelop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies
Reporting & Analytics:
Monitor key performance metrics related to orders and shipments (on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, etc.)Prepare reports for senior leadership highlighting performance, trends, and improvement opportunitiesUse data to drive decision-making and process improvementsAll other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environmentStrong understanding of order management and shipment processesExperience working in customer-facing roles with a proven ability to manage customer relationshipsExcellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skillsProficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project) and ERP systemsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
PMP or CAPM certification preferredFamiliarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies preferredExperience with digital automation or AI-driven processes in order and shipment management preferred
