RSA Conference is the premier series of global events and year-round learning for the cybersecurity community. Both in-person and online, RSAC brings the cybersecurity industry together and empowers the collective “we” to stand against cyberthreats around the world. RSAC engages deeply with cybersecurity leaders and CISOs (Chief Information Security Officers). They are an important part of our community, and we design custom programs and experiences to help them better succeed in their roles and share information with one another in confidential settings. RSAC is seeking a dynamic, community-focused leader to support our efforts to best serve this unique community. This role involves development of programming and engagement plans for our CISO Boot Camp and Cyber Leaders Forum, both at our physical events and in year-round engagement. The ideal candidate will have a background in cybersecurity, community development, event planning, content, and research. This individual will be responsible for working with community leaders to develop meeting agendas, supporting speakers to refine and perfect presentations, reviewing and approving program applicants, and helping community members to best connect with one another year-round. Job Description: Drive long term engagement and loyalty with present and future CISO community, including employing retention mechanisms to capture institutional knowledge. Lead CBC and CLF agenda, oversee membership discussion groups—start conversations, pull in other experts, help connect the right people, create content resources for community members, and administer new CISO Emeritus program. This individual is also responsible for review of all applicants, determining who is eligible to attend or not. This individual would also work closely with the ESAF team and work to find ways to bring greater access to the CISO Perspectives reports, confidence with engaging with the polling data in a more public way and further drive value to the year-round engagement with this group. As lead within the communities, this individual will also have a pulse on key conversations and be looking to “externalize” key conversations/community positions in order to provide thought leadership and a constant pulse of what’s important and relevant. Released findings should influence policy and be actionable. This person will also be responsible for developing a detailed strategy plan for community engagement beyond RSA Conference with online membership engagement as well as physical meeting opportunities. In this role you will: Develop agendas for closed door programming that RSA Conference offers for aspiring CISOs as well as sitting CISOs. Recruit and invite qualified candidates to participate in the communities as well as to participate in physical and online meetings and exchanges. Review applications for attendees to these communities, assuring standards are met and participants remain qualified to participate. Work with Program Committees comprised of industry experts to shape programming and provide feedback to speakers. Develop programs for and foster year-round engagement with community members, developing and growing key relationships; programs may include email, webcasts, physical meetings, dinners, online forums, and the like. Provide feedback to product team to represent needs of the CISO community. Collaborate closely with the education team to develop materials that will be useful to this community. Seek opportunities to work with community members to take their learnings and experiences to our public communities for further reach and impact, as appropriate. Work with our research team to develop and administer surveys and other polling vehicles for internal use as well as external publication, where appropriate. Contribute to the ideation and development of new programs and offerings to best meet the needs of the CISO community. Your profile: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity related events, consulting, marketing, or a related role. Strong understanding of community engagement and development. Excellent writing, copy editing, and communication skills. Experience in coordinating with multiple stakeholders and managing events. Strong analytical and research skills. Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. You are based in either California, New Hampshire or Massachusetts. Benefits RSAC believes in investing in our people.
