Office Administrator Job DescriptionEmpirical Systems Aerospace, Inc. is seeking an Office Administrator to join our team. ESAero is a growing aerospace company in the San Luis Obispo area and provides various services which include but are not limited to rapid system development, on-demand niche engineering, hands-on development/testing, and small UAS aerospace system manufacturing.This position is fully on-site at Empirical System's Aerospace in San Luis Obispo, CAEssential Duties and Responsibilities of the Office Administrator:
Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified costs, quality and delivery targetsSupport ES Aero’s internal customers by proactively communicating any supply problems which may impact business operationsAct as an interface between suppliers and internal departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activitiesWork with Engineering and Suppliers to reduce costs and improve quality of purchased materialsResponsible for ensuring that Purchase Order due dates are validResponsible for maintaining accurate cost and lead time data on purchased itemsWork with Planning and Engineering to implement engineering changesSupport ERP development and implementationSolve procurement problems when they occurWork with Suppliers and Engineering to resolve quality issuesGreet and assist visitors, providing a welcoming atmosphere and addressing inquiries promptly.Manage incoming phone calls, filter inquiries, and transfer calls to the appropriate departments.Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and conference room bookings.Monitor and restock office supplies, ensuring availability for staff.Ensure visitor sign-in procedures are followed and maintain a secure front desk environment.Assist in managing contract documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting departments with their contract needs.Required Qualifications and Skills:
A High School diploma or equivalent is required. A BS or AA degree is preferred. Any APICS or NAPM training and/or certification is desirable.This position requires a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in purchasing. Hands-on experience with procurement using a formal MRP system is a must. Additional experience working with new product introductions or engineering projects is a plus. Familiarity with electronics manufacturing is preferred. Understanding of inventory control methods and production control techniques is also preferred.Ability to read and understand MRP reportsAbility to use a formal MRP system to review time-phased requirementsFamiliarity with commercial electronics building practices and components is desiredTake responsibility for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with qualified SuppliersAbility to read blueprintsAbility to negotiate terms and pricing for materials and servicesAbility to review cost/quantity choices and make cost effective decisionsAbility to work with windows based personal computersMust be able to work with a minimum of supervisionMust have good oral and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and Supplier.Ability to analyze and solve problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Must be able to work with engineering to define optimal procurement solutions, and effectively implement changes.Benefits and Perks:
