Job DescriptionSummaryThe Senior Group Sales Manager is responsible for increasing year-round overall top line revenues through development of group business through proactive and reactive sales of guestroom blocks, events, and group business. They may represent additional Aspen Hospitality properties when appropriate and assist in training of Sales Managers as assigned.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions
Responsible for developing sales strategy to drive top line revenues for guestrooms and catered events
Responsible for proactive group sales for Limelight Aspen & Snowmass
Responsible for responding to all incoming group leads within (1) business day of receipt
Responsible for group guestroom contracts & call-in blocks
Complete the sales process from initial sales contact through contract signing, ensuring a smooth customer experience
Meets or exceeds individual sales goals for their territory/market segment
Coordinates and conducts Group site tours as needed
Participates in all sales/events department meetings
Able to work five days per week and be available by appointment on Weekends and Evenings as needed
Able to travel as needed for business within the assigned sales region
Develop and continually enhance relationships with key community organizations and professional associations to maintain high visibility and increase Group market share
Act as liaison with other departments in the hotel via weekly meetings to provide information in a timely manner and ensure group and catering needs are carried out as contracted
Assist in preparation and proofing of Banquet Event Orders as needed, communicate effectively with customers, managers and associates to ensure that all room set-ups, equipment, supplies, staffing and menus meet/exceed customer’s expectations
Meet with group clients and group lead planners on arrival, with regular check-ins while on-site at the Limelight Hotel
Uses Delphi to track sales efforts as well as complete & detailed notes
Follows up post event with client to review event recap notes and shares information with property Managers, banquet team & event manager
Follows up with a formal thank you to the client, continues with next steps for rebooking
Works with accounting and operations teams to ensure correct and timely billing for groups post event
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in sales and marketing, business or related discipline preferred
3 years of hospitality experience required
3 years in hotel sales required
Leadership experience preferred
Experience in writing proposals, contracts, and budgets preferred
Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, Delphi/Amadeus, HMS, and Property Management Systems
Demonstrated communications expertise with exceptional verbal communication skills and a clear and persuasive writing style
Additional InformationSupervision Given and ReceivedGiven: Exercises direct supervision over group coordination team with the Area Director of Sales. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, frequent and detailed review of work, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Received: Works under supervision from the Area Director of Sales. Receives guidance in terms of broad goals and overall objectives and is responsible for establishing strategic methods to attain them. Can formulate policies but does not necessarily have final authority for approval. Review of work is not detailed and emphasizes accomplishment of broad work objectives, rather than specific assignments.
Work Environment and Physical DemandsAbility to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements. No adverse or hazardous conditions. Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance.
