This role will be responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting operations within the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our financial practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, consolidations, and intercompany transactions, with a proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth.Responsibilities:1. Overseeing all financial and accounting operations within the organization, including budgeting, financial reporting, and auditing.2. Managing and coordinating all fiscal reporting activities, including revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports to funding agencies, development and monitoring of organizational and contract/grant budgets.3. Developing and implementing financial strategies and systems that align with the company's business objectives.4. Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local financial and accounting regulations.5. Managing and overseeing the financial performance of the organization, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.6. Providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.7. Managing and overseeing the company's financial systems, ensuring they are efficient, accurate, and compliant.8. Overseeing the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors; assess any changes necessary.9. Overseeing the production of monthly reports including reconciliations as well as financial statements and cash flow projections for use by executive management.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Master's degree or CPA is preferred.2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably with a public company.3. Strong knowledge and experience in financial reporting, consolidations, and intercompany transactions.4. Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel, and accounting software.9. Strong understanding of federal, state, and local financial regulations.10.
