Director Supply Chain - Procurement

As Director Supply Chain - Procurement, you'll drive and improve the development of the supply base. You'll oversee the material purchasing activities for SNC’s largest business area. You will adeptly coordinate with executive management, program management and other department managers to ensure the company’s material needs, planning and production objectives are supported. You'll drive strategic directives for departmental plans and organizational priorities in supplier compliance, operations compliance, operations support and special orders, as well as guide decisions based on functional objectives and priorities. You will ensure synergy across the BA’s multiple purchasing sites. You will evaluate and implement an effective Category Management strategy tailored to the Business Area’s needs. You will evaluate current activities in order to identify opportunities for improvement, and in doing so you will ensure Continuous Improvement actions are identified and completed. You will provide leadership and insight into how SNC’s state-of-the-art Procurement system can be utilized to further improve your organization’s performance. You'll shape a higher level of supplier accountability for performance and sustainability, and guide system and functional integrations of supply chain strategy and execution.

Must Haves:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study
Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
15+ years’ experience leading complex procurement organizations
Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisitions (DFAR)
Demonstrated ability to effectively drive significant continuous improvement
Thorough knowledge commodity, category and sourcing management
Experience managing manufacturing timelines and requirements
Demonstrated competency of supply chain management processes, techniques and compliance
Excellent negotiation strategy skills
Proven leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews
Mastery of the ability to drive innovative thinking, lead and inspire your team, instill collaboration, challenge status quo, manage complex situations, delegate authority, and demonstrate ability to adapt to dynamic situations
Proven experience and skills in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, and strategic thinking
Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms; ability to interpret technical requirements
Ability to navigate change and uncertainty, make defensible decisions in ambiguity and own those decisions
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Estimated Starting Salary Range: $167,490.31 - $230,299.19. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
