Position Overview
Compliance Technology Department seeks an individual with
10+ years of solid, diverse work experience in IT specifically in application development/software engineering or similar roles including
3+ years for experience leveraging public cloud for application development
to drive the development of simple, modern, and composable cloud-first solutions across an extensive portfolio of integrated business products. This role is directly responsible for working within a team of developers to deliver integration solutions in support of portfolio initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess a full-stack engineering mindset with a passion for excelling in all areas of the software delivery life cycle such as analysis, design, development, automated testing, DevOps, etc.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the analysis, design, development, unit testing, and implementation of integration solutions consistent with architectural direction and established patterns with limited oversight
Contribute towards proof of concepts for integration patterns and software tools/technologies related to application or process development
Plan and implement procedures focused on operational efficiency and automation through DevOps capabilities
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to other team members on standard practices such as resiliency, observability, scalability, security, cost optimization and more.
Maintain a solid and collaborative relationship with delivery partners and business stakeholders
Complete work following Agile development methodology and concepts
Participate in all agile ceremonies effectively
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline strongly preferred
Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect are preferred. Strong knowledge of public cloud computing concepts (AWS preferred)
Typically, 10+ years of solid, diverse work experience in IT specifically in application development/software engineering or similar roles.
3+ years for experience leveraging public cloud for application development.
Prior working experience in healthcare domain is preferred.
Experience
Engineer must be a highly motivated, well-rounded team player and self-starter that works best in a collaborative, dynamic and agile environment with limited oversight.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential as this position will interface with remote scrum teams, business owners, enterprise architects, security, infrastructure, and consumers
Familiar with advanced concepts and hands-on experience in many of the following areas to be a successful contributor on the team:
Expertise in API development, Microservices design
Strong Expertise with AWS Cloud development services such as API Gateway, S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, ECS Faregate, EKS, Event Bridge, EC2, CloudWatch, SQS, SNS, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, RDS, IAM, SecretManager, Alarms, Rout53, CloudFront, S3 static website, ALB/ELB.
Experience in RESTful APIs and SOAP services using message formats such as JSON and XML
Experience in integration technologies such as Kafka
Strong application development experience in two or more programming languages: Python, Scala, NodeJS, Java.
Experience in RDBMS and NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, Teradata, DynamoDB
Experience in DataBricks application development using PySpark, Live Tables and Job orchestration using Apacha Airflow
Experience in Healthcare Applications such as Facet, QNXT is plus
Hands-on experience developing applications on AWS and/or Openshift
Automation Skills using Infrastructure as Code
Knowledge of application security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms
Experience with GitHub, Jenkins or GitHub actions or equivalent.
Experience with terraform IAC or similar
Experience with Security Concepts (e.g. encryption, Identity, OAUTH, etc.).
CI - CD understanding
Familiarity with creating benchmark tests, designing for scalability and performance, and designing/integrating large-scale systems
Familiarity with building cloud native applications, knowledge on cloud tools such Kubernetes and Docker containers
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 123,400 - 205,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
