We are seeking an
Inventory Control Associate, Laboratory Ops
to join IQVIA Laboratories at Marietta, GA.Shift

If you want to discover a career with greater purpose, join us as we transform and accelerate research and development.As an Associate Scientist, you will support the laboratory by assisting the Flow/PBMC Laboratory with sample receipt and accessioning. Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting the laboratory technicians by providing reagents and assistance when needed. The role involves ensuring all testing is performed and that patients’ samples are routed to the appropriate department or storage. In this role, you will manage Sponsor reagents’ inventory and ensure timely communication of any risks associated with reagents and drug availability.This position will also require you to assist with the monthly inventory count and reconciliation process. Good and timely communication with vendors is essential to ensure reagents’ availability and address any concerns related to laboratory reagents. This role involves managing the local inventory process and reagents’ inventory for the Flow and PBMC departments.What You’ll be Doing:Ability to work in cold storage and stand for extended periods.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, and close eye work (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary based on assigned work area and tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.Performing daily inventory checks to ensure reagents are within the established Min and Max levels.Completing daily consumption documentation.Assisting Laboratory technologists by providing reagents for testing.Working and liaising with Warehouse staff to determine the proper number of reagents on hand. Identifying and documenting potential errors or unusual findings and escalating them to senior lab personnel.Assisting in quality investigations, deviations, and resolutions.Assisting in the review and update of laboratory procedures and techniques.Assisting in the inventory process and managing the monthly reagent count.Assist lab support team members to check in patients’ samples and other duties as deemed necessary to support laboratory Technicians.What We Are Looking For:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Basic knowledge of the assigned technical area, systems, and procedures obtained through prior work experience.Other equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.Critical thinking, innovative mindset, and problem-solving skills.The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities needed for this role:Inventory management.Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures and practices, including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling.What We Offer You:We put our employees at the center of everything we do and are committed to providing them, and their families, with benefits that meet their diverse and changing needs.
