Brookfield is committed to the development of our people through challenging work assignments and exposure to diverse businesses.Job DescriptionThe Firm is seeking an RFP Manager to join the Investor Relations team in its Chicago office. This person will be an integral part of the team and will be responsible for servicing a global institutional client base that is invested across all public securities strategies. The individual will also assist with business development efforts as requested. The person will work closely with the entire Marketing and Investor Relations team and will regularly interact with investment, finance, operations, compliance and legal professionals as well as senior management.Responsibilities:Manage the questionnaire and RFP process from inception to completion.Complete responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs) from prospects and consultants across our investment platforms.Delegate and coordinate the completion of Requests for Information (RFIs), and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), working closely with our third-party vendor.Manage the queue of incoming requests, delegate as appropriate, oversee the completion of the first draft of questionnaires/proposals including a thorough review, manage overall quality control and ensure project is completed and submitted by the deadline.Ensure final product has 100% accuracy in terms of content, grammar and formatting.Liaise with members of Client Relationship Management, Product Management, Investments, Operations, Technology, Finance, Legal and Compliance to develop responses.Work with SMEs to set and manage expectations including timeline for updates and ensuring content provided is appropriate and customized as needed.Write responses that strategically position the firm/our products in accordance with the sales objective and demonstrate how we can meet an investor’s needs.Maintain the firm’s internal database (RocketDocs) and ensure it includes updated and approved content.Develop and manage internal project timelines to ensure all deadlines are met.Retrieve and analyze data to complete quantitative components of RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs and ensure data provided is accurate and applicable.Keep abreast of any changes within the firm or product offerings and reflect in our responses appropriately.Develop and monitor KPIs to measure the capacity, effectiveness and efficiency (i.e., accuracy, on-time completion, win rate, cost per RFP, etc.) using implemented software.Provide ongoing input regarding process and technology improvements and drive scalable solutions.Expand writing expertise to other editorial projects such as commentaries, thought leadership and other corporate communications and initiatives.The Candidate:Strong knowledge of separately managed account and registered/private fund investment strategies/products.7+ years of RFP-writing experience in the alternatives investment industry. Experience with institutional clients (public pensions, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, etc.) is preferred.Knowledge of infrastructure, real estate and real asset debt is beneficial.Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills (writing samples will be required).Excellent project and people management skills, including the ability to marshal resources, communicate and manage timelines and responsibilities.Ability to understand and analyze investment data including performance, attribution, portfolio characteristics and risk metrics.Excellent organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented atmosphere while managing multiple projects simultaneously.Strong familiarity with Microsoft Suite of products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.A high degree of integrity and the ability to recognize the requirements of confidentiality.Outstanding decision making and problem-solving skills.Entrepreneurial approach to task management.
