Lion’s Gate’s professional team of IT Engineers consists of network, cloud and data center engineers, network penetration specialist, project managers, as well as IT consultants. 1.0 Position Overview
We are looking for a capable Network Penetration Engineer, who enjoys technical work and possesses both deep and wide expertise in the ethical hacking. Lion’s Gate is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Network Penetration Engineer. This position is responsible for evaluating the security of an organization’s IT infrastructure by continuously assessing and exploiting vulnerabilities to find out where hacking threats may lie.
2.0 Essential Functions
Perform formal penetration tests on web-based applications, networks and computer systems
Conduct physical security assessments of servers, systems and network devices
Design and create new penetration tools and tests
Probe for vulnerabilities in web applications, fat/thin client applications and standard applications
Pinpoint methods that attackers could use to exploit weaknesses and logic flaws
Employ social engineering to uncover security holes (e.g. poor user security practices or password policies)
Incorporate business considerations (e.g. loss of earnings due to downtime, cost of engagement, etc.) into security strategies
Research, document and discuss security findings with management and IT teams
Review and define requirements for information security solutions
Work on improvements for security services, including the continuous enhancement of existing methodology material and supporting assets
Provide feedback and verification as an organization fixes security issues
3.0 Competencies
Knowledge of vulnerabilities and exploits outside of tool suites.
Willingness to continually learn.
Understanding of secure web communications and technologies.
Ability to script or write code.
Demonstrated good judgment and proactive approach in solving problems as well as identifying problems in advance, and proposing solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create technical documentation and system diagrams.
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Ability to prioritize workload and tasks to effectively meet deadlines, and ability to lead, and own projects.
4.0 Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Cyber-Security, Networking, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field required, equivalent work experience as a penetration testing may be substituted for education.
Minimum three years of experience in Metasploit, Cali-Linux LAN and WAN technologies, network design, network management, and penetration testing etc.
Minimum three years of progressively responsible experience performing Windows/Cisco system administration duties in a critical production environment.
5.0 Certifications
CompTIA Security+, CCNA: Cisco Certified Network Associate (Routing and Switching), CEH: Certified Ethical Hacker, GSEC / GCIH / GCIA: GIAC Security Certifications, CISSP: Certified Information Systems Security Professional or Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)
