Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to join our team at United Legwear in Edison, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business intelligence and data visualization, with specific experience in the apparel industry. This role will involve developing and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the business. This is an on-site position, working closely with teams to deliver data solutions tailored to the dynamic needs of the apparel sector.
Essential Functions (Including but not limited to):
Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports dashboards, and visualizations that support business objectives, particularly in the apparel industry.Collaborate with key stakeholders in merchandising, sales, supply chain, and finance to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven insights.Connect to various data sources (ERP systems, inventory management platforms, sales data, etc.) and ensure data accuracy and integrity.Implement and optimize DAX queries to ensure performance and scalability for large datasets typical in the apparel sector.Maintain and update existing reports and dashboards to meet changing business needs, particularly in areas such as inventory management, trend analysis, and sales performance.Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis for teams involved in product development, distribution, and retail.Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data and reporting, with a focus on apparel-specific metrics like SKU performance, sell-through rates, and seasonal trends.Train end-users on how to effectively use Power BI reports and dashboards tailored to the apparel industry.Work closely with IT and data teams to enhance reporting capabilities, especially around product lifecycle management and consumer behavior analytics.Stay up-to-date with Power BI and related technologies, applying best practices specifically suited for the apparel industry.Qualifications/Requirements:
4-6 years of experience working with Power BI in a professional setting, preferably within the apparel industry.Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and Power BI service.Experience with data modeling, report design, and data visualization, with a focus on apparel industry metrics and KPIs.Familiarity with SQL, data warehouses, and ETL processes.Experience working with ERP systems, inventory management, and retail analytics tools commonly used in the apparel sector.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, particularly in apparel-related roles.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud data platforms.Knowledge of other business intelligence tools (Tableau, Qlik, etc.).In-depth experience working in the apparel industry, with an understanding of its unique data challenges and opportunities.Job Site: This is an onsite position at our Edison, New Jersey Office.
