Software Engineer

– NIKE, Inc., Beaverton, ORDevelop, code, configure, and test programs, systems and solutions independently with minimal supervision in order to meet defined digital product specifications. Advise product owners on discrete technology-related business problems. Formulate options, including assessing their relative merits and risks. Help design and build scalable software solutions to implement and integrate new technologies. Build and implement scalable applications that leverage prediction models and optimization programs to deliver data driven decisions that result in immense business impact. Lead the development of a technical solution that meets the needs of the business and aligns with architectural standards. Participate in designs and implementation on a team building high-throughput, low-latency, fault-tolerant solutions to drive Nike’s Digital transformation and growth strategies. Also have strong communication skills, help solve complex problems, and be a collaborative team player. Build and deliver the technical runway for existing and new technology capabilities to support multiple mission critical systems within Nike. Understanding of scalable, highly available, and consistent distributed systems is necessary to design world class solutions. Partner with globally distributed teams of product, program, architecture teams to ensure that the ecosystem of services remains loosely coupled, independently scalable, and meets the needs of the business. Work with peers to develop key innovation features. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.Minimum Requirements:Must have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, or Information Systems and Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or engineering-related occupation.
