Red Cedar TG is seeking a dynamic, proactive, and self-starting Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Enterprise Architecture Team in O’Fallon, IL.Missing a certification for this position? Red Cedar TG will work with candidates that are otherwise fully qualified to help them obtain required certifications such as CompTIA Sec+, ITIL, CISSP, and other required certifications.Responsibilities
Design and implement network security strategies, focusing on Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA).Advise clients on comprehensive zero trust security strategies, including IAM, network segmentation, and continuous monitoring to ensure regulatory compliance.Analyze security challenges and develop effective solutions to address them.Create cybersecurity architectural documentation and artifacts to support security strategies.Communicate and present security concepts, findings, and recommendations to clients, ensuring understanding and buy-in.Ensure solutions align with industry best practices and client-specific security requirements.Requirements
3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity.Active DoD Secret clearance.Current CompTIA Sec+ or better.AWS cloud practitioner certification or better.Proficient in network security design and implementation, particularly with Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA).Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.Strong analytical skills to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions.Excellent communication and presentation skills to clearly convey security concepts and recommendations.Expertise in Security Assessment & Authorization (A&A) with familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).Desired
Familiarity with AWS GovCloud or other Government Cloud environments.CISSP or CISM preferred.About Red Cedar TG
