OverviewThis is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.First Citizens Bank offers an exciting summer internship program that provides development opportunities and hands-on work experience while creating a talent pipeline for the Bank. Our interns will apply classroom knowledge in a corporate environment while making a positive impact across the organization and the communities we serve. Come help First Citizens build for the future!The Philanthropy Operations Specialist intern will gain practical experience in the operations processes supporting the bank’s CRA-related charitable donations as well as other non-CRA related charitable giving and volunteer services. They will gain experience reviewing and refreshing key data points that support efficient management and processing of charitable donations and volunteer services. They will work closely with other team members to aid in the overall volunteer service and donation operations including understanding and evaluating the qualification process.Responsibilities
In this role, you will:Be part of a dynamic team with interesting projects.Accountabilities can and may include areas such as research, analytics, projects, strategy, process review and improvement, as well as technology enhancements and support.Attend professional development sessions, informational sessions, networking, and community service events.Have a dedicated manager and program manager to help you navigate the bank and the internship program.Be assigned a project, designed to improve a specific process or solve a problem that you will present at the close of the internship.Prepare a wrap-up presentation to be shared with the division leader and other key stakeholders in the company to outline your accomplishments and experience during the internship.Internship dates:

Required qualifications:High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experienceCurrently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution (during the time of the summer program)Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the programPreferred qualifications:3.0 minimum GPARising senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems Management, or other technical backgroundsExperience with data management and reportingStrong desire to learn and growMicrosoft Office Suite especially advanced in ExcelPossess a positive attitude, naturally curious and enjoys collaborating with othersStrong verbal and written communication skillsCritical thinking skillsAbility to multitaskAbility to adapt and adjust priorities based on business needsAbility to take direction and absorb information quicklyThe base pay for this position is generally between $22.44 and $34.32. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.First Citizens benefits programs are designed to meet our associates where they are in life. Full-time associates (20+ hours) are offered a comprehensive benefits program, with customized offerings, including those designed to support families, however defined.
