The Senior Program Administrator functions as an organizational consultant for the Office of Organizational Leadership and Rutgers Health Office of Faculty Affairs. Reporting to the Associate Director of the Office of Organizational Leadership, with a formal dotted line report to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs in Rutgers Health, the Senior Program Administrator will help to support all internal organizational development projects on behalf of academic units across the academic health center.Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Advises academic leaders on issues related to strategic planning, priority setting, and continuous improvement, and alignment of goals and priorities with school, chancellor-led unit, and university strategic priorities.Discusses approaches for engaging colleagues to develop and implement solutions to achieve continuous improvement.Designs and facilitates conversations, workshops, and retreats to advance school and department initiatives that align with chancellor-led unit and university priorities.Provides coaching and consultation for academic leaders on topics related to leadership, communication, and organizational effectiveness.Works in partnership with the Office of Faculty Affairs in Rutgers Health, which works with the leadership, faculty, and administrators across Rutgers Health to support an overarching goal of Rutgers Health-to be recognized as one of the best academic health centers in the U.S., known for its education, research, clinical care, and commitment to improving access to health care and reducing health care disparities.Collaborates on the design and facilitation of academic leadership and organizational development-related workshops for the Academic Leadership Program and other leadership programs within Rutgers Health.Serves as a trusted advisor for internal clients across Rutgers Health including but not limited to the Chancellor, Senior Vice Chancellors, Vice Chancellors, Deans and Chairs.Maintains a high level of confidentiality in supporting units, departments, and schools.Analyzes organizational needs and structures, developing and making recommendations and solutions, and ensuring that confidential information regarding position management and strategic initiatives is handled with discretion.

Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus five years of experience, preferably in organizational leadership, healthcare leadership, organizational communication, training and development, or related field.A minimum of three (3) years of experience in designing and facilitating organizational development workshops, interventions, or consultations.A minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in a university, healthcare, or non-profit setting.
Certifications/LicensesRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Leadership development and program assessment expertise.Practical skills and knowledge of communication, change management, and stakeholder analysis tools.Experience with online instruction and facilitation.Ability to build relationships with academic health stakeholders, including senior administrators, faculty, and staff.Knowledge of and ability to apply principles related to adult learning.Knowledge of best practices in leadership and organizational development.Proven group facilitation skills.Ability to lead relevant research projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in related field.Experience with organizational consultation and/or leadership development in academic health centers.Relevant past work experience in Rutgers Health.
Equipment UtilizedPhysical Demands and Work Environment
Willingness to travel to Rutgers Health sites in New Brunswick, Piscataway, and Newark for in-person meetings and facilitations.Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
