Fairview Range is looking for a Patient Access Coordinator II to join our care team at the Fairview Mesaba Clinic in Hibbing, MN!
The Patient Access Coordinator II is responsible for greeting and directing patients to examination rooms, scheduling patient appointments, processing referrals, making reminder calls, registering patients for appointments, informing patients about delays and wait times, obtaining patients' addresses, contacting details, insurance information, and medical histories. They work together to provide staffing coverage in all three clinic locations providing support for providers and nursing staff, registration check points and the phone queues for both primary and specialty scheduling. They also provide back up support for the Specialty Insurance Clerk.
Schedule: This position is full time, working 72-80 hours per two weeks, 8-hour Day/Evening shifts and weekends as needed. This position will be primarily based in Hibbing, but may provide coverage in Nashwauk and Mountain Iron as needed

Patient Access Coordinator II Job Responsibilities
Assists care team in processing various forms and refill requests daily.
Obtain prior authorization and verification of coverage for private, MA/PMAP and all other insurances at the time of scheduling.
Collects and verifies all patient data from patients and enter into the EMR accurately at the time of scheduling to ensure smooth revenue cycle.
Coordinate and schedule outreach and ancillary appointments for the providers according AVS at the time of check out following the approved workflows.
Greet patients in a prompt and pleasant manner and directs them to the appropriate locations.
Assists care team in the plan of care by performing a proper checkout of the patients following the established process.
Maintains a safe and hygienic patient environment.
Patient Access Coordinator II Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 months Patient Access Coordinator I or similar experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduation from a Health Unit Coordinator program.
Associates degree
Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS)
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Experience in Registration and Scheduling.
Experience with insurance verification.
Understanding of various health insurance plans.
