Physical Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Newtown, Connecticut

Nuvance Health Medical Practice is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our Physical Medicine practice in Newtown, Connecticut. This is in a beautiful new multiple specialty practice setting. Clinic includes, but is not limited to, procedure follow ups, trigger point injections and referrals to therapy. Position has standard Monday through Friday office hours. Potential weekend hospital rehabilitation unit coverage is paid at an additional rate.

Candidates should be a board certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. At least one year experience as an APRN/PA in Pain Management, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Orthopedics, or Rheumatology in an outpatient setting is preferred and/or or equivalent nursing experience. We offer a comprehensive compensation package, including competitive salary, generous benefits, and allowances for CMEs and Dues. State of CT RN and APRN or PA license, CT Controlled Substance Registration and Federal DEA are required.

Our practice is affiliated with Danbury Hospital. Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area residents convenient access to exceptional care. Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our employed Medical Group includes 1000+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.

Newtown is nearby to Danbury, Connecticut, located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and on the border of New York State, about 60 miles northeast of New York City. As part of the greater NY metropolitan area, the region enjoys both proximity to New York City culture and access to a wide array of four season recreational activities. The area offers highly rated public and private school options and universities. Boston, New York City, New Haven and Hartford are easily accessible from this area.
