KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creates, implements, and directs various activities related to the provision of career services for students within a particular school of the University.
These activities may include on-campus recruiting activities, the marketing and administration of related internship programs, and career guidance and counseling services.
ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:
Rollins School of Public Health’s Professional Advancement & Student Experience Center (PASE) seeks an Associate Director to develop, evaluate and implement employer recruitment and outreach efforts for the school. This position will manage the employer database, job postings, job approvals, and PASE Center events. This individual will:
Develop a strategic evaluation and dissemination plan which includes the following (but are not limited to): analyzing recent graduate employment data; demographic student and alumni employment data; creating an annual employer recruitment report; and ongoing monitoring and evaluation of initiatives.
Establish the direction and priorities for leadership and professional development, employer recruitment, and other PASE Center initiatives. This would require proactively engaging with stakeholders, including student organizations, departmental academic advisors, admissions and recruitment, alumni affairs staff of RSPH (and Emory University), faculty, and graduates.
Collaborate with Executive Directors to develop, implement, and evaluate an informed, intentional employer recruitment strategy that engages existing employer relationships and expands employer outreach to meet the demands of RSPH's diverse graduate student population.
Offer career coaching services and advisement to students and alumni (approximately 10-15% time during peak season).
Develop and implement marketing materials for various audiences, such as students, faculty, employers, and partners. This may include (but are not limited to) email communication campaigns, social media campaigns, website updates, etc.
Manage, plan, and evaluate large-scale recruitment events including Career Fairs, Mock Interview Nights, employer information sessions and interviews, and professional development sessions.
Collaborate with employers and school-level partners to execute campus and office interviews. This may include creating interview schedules, and developing supporting materials, working with team members and stakeholders to secure interview space and catering, as well as greeting employers and students.
Serve on school and university-level committees as needed.
Participate in school-wide programs planned by the Office of Student Affairs, including Visit Emory, Destination Public Health, New Student Orientation, and Graduation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor's degree in the school's specialty or a related field.
Four years of experience in career planning and placement or a related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
An advanced degree in public health (MPH/MSPH), higher education administration or a related field and five years of experience in recruitment/partnership development.
Demonstrated experience and success in collaborating with internal teams and effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams. Experience developing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent event management skills, particularly with large-scale events (120+ participants or more) and student group partner events.Student coaching / advisement experience with diverse, graduate-level student populations.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and shift through projects quickly without sacrificing quality.
Outstanding customer service skills and experience working with employers from federal, state and local government, not-for profit organizations, healthcare systems, academic clients and private industry.
Exceptional communication skills as demonstrated in presentation style and writing.
Ability to represent the Rollins School of Public Health in presentations to new employers and community partners.
Adept at using program evaluation methods and demonstrated ability to use data to inform decision-making.
Some experience in strategic planning and data driven decision making.
Creative thinking with ideas for business growth and process improvement.
Knowledge of customer relations management and other event/information/career management software such as 12Twenty, Handshake, Salesforce, Slate, and VMock.
Technical proficiency in MS Office, including Word, EXCEL and Power Point.
Ability to supervise student personnel.
Ability to work occasional evenings, some weekends during academic year.
