This position will have a primary focus working on audits with some of the leading and most well-known not-for-profit schools, colleges, universities, cultural, human services as well as other exempt organizations in the area. You will be a key member of client service teams providing insight, ideas and confidence to management, boards and others who have a stake in the good stewardship of these entities. We offer a flexible workplace, outstanding national training and development opportunities in a friendly, supportive environment that we believe is second to none.Essential Functions and Primary Duties:Coordinate the various phases of an engagement, including staff requirements, locations to be visited, job planning, scheduling, etc.Study and evaluate the internal controls, organization, systems or other appropriate items and prepare or review the audit program or consulting project and time budgetAssign work to existing staff members on the basis of their knowledge and capabilities and supervise them on projectsEvaluate work papers to determine that the audit or engagement was performed in accordance with generally accepted auditing or consulting standardsReview with Supervisor, Manager, Director or Managing Director any significant audit or consulting findings, financial statement presentation or other matters within the purview of an accounting or consulting assignmentPrepare or review financial statements, notes, schedules, management letters, income tax returns, reports, programs, systems, policies and procedures for discussion with the clientPrepare constructive staff counseling/evaluation reportsOther responsibilities as necessary
Minimum Qualifications RequiredBA or BS in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalentMBA or MSA preferredCPA certification, preferred3 years of public accounting experience or related field1 year of supervisory experience preferredExcellent analytical, research, interpersonal, written and oral communications skills necessary;Demonstrated ability to self-direct, organize, prioritize and effectively manage multiple engagementsAbility to effectively present, listen and respond to questions from clients and team membersA self-starter with an eagerness to learnProficiency in MS Word, Outlook and Excel requiredProficiency with ProSystem FX Engagement preferred
The annual salary target for this job in this market is $80,000-$100,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.The compensation above is not representative of an employee's total compensation.
