Contract Specialist
to join our team. The Contract Specialist coordinates with the client, subconsultants, and project team and performs various duties, including negotiating terms and conditions, preparing contracts, and evaluating bids for our organization. Contract Specialist responsibilities include drafting and editing contracts, communicating with vendors, and ensuring that our contracts meet all regulatory requirements. The Contract Specialist will work with our Contracts, Procurement, and legal department to draft, edit, and process legal contracts as needed.Works with both public and private sector clients in obtaining contract requirements for goods and services, but not limited to, construction-related activities. Works with a team on preparing and administering contract documents under the direction of an Engineering Project Manager.JOB QUALIFICATIONS:Experience in drafting contracts, task orders, and work requests to acquire goods/services from suppliers for airport-related projects is preferred.Proven work experience as a Contract Specialist or similar role.Relevant training and/or certifications as a Contract Specialist is preferred.Excellent oral and written communication skills.In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, contract documents, and legal specifications.Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills.Ability to resolve client complaints and concerns.Basic Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills.Written and oral communication skills, including editing, oversight, and preparation of technical reports, and the presentation of information to clients, government entities, and various committees.Interpersonal and public relations skills to collaborate effectively with clients, co-workers, government officials, other customers, and community organizations.Knowledge of local culture preferred.Valid driver’s license.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Develop and implement effective procurement proposals.Research regulations to ensure contracts are updated and in compliance with laws.Coordinate with clients to guarantee terms of contracts are fulfilled in compliance with the terms and regulations.Ensure accuracy by preparing bidding documents before conducting bids.Review and negotiate contractual agreements between a company and suppliers.Manage, draft, and analyze contracts to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risk.Oversee the review and negotiation of contracts between parties.Serve as the liaison with outside contracting representatives.Assist in the preparation of proposals.Manage project administrative tasks such as schedule and budget.Participate in conferences and meetings involving departmental programs and functions.Speak effectively to individuals and groups.Maintain cooperative relationships with government agencies, civil organizations, and the public.Perform other duties as assigned.SALARY RANGE:
$55,000 - $65,000 per year depending on experience.
