The
Talent Development and Engagement Director
is responsible for leading and executing strategies that support the development, engagement, and retention of employees. This role involves designing and implementing talent development programs, driving employee engagement initiatives, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. This person will collaborate with leadership to align talent development strategies with organizational goals and ensure a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Development Strategy:
Develop and implement a comprehensive talent development strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
Design and oversee training programs, leadership development, career pathing, and succession planning.
Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and performance evaluations to identify skill gaps and development opportunities.
Employee Engagement:
Develop and execute engagement strategies to enhance employee satisfaction, motivation, and retention.
Implement programs that foster a positive organizational culture, enhance team collaboration, and recognize employee achievements.
Monitor and analyze engagement metrics and feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Leadership Development:
Design and deliver leadership development programs that build managerial skills and prepare future leaders.
Partner with senior leaders to provide coaching and support for leadership growth and development.
Talent Management:
Collaborate with teams to align talent development initiatives with business needs.
Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
Employee Relations:
Manage and improve the relationship between employees and the organization to ensure a positive, productive, and compliant work environment.
Resolve conflicts, address grievances, implement and enforce policies, and ensure legal compliance.
Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate talent development and engagement strategies and initiatives effectively across the organization.
Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including department heads, managers, and external partners.
Budget and Resource Management:
Develop and manage the budget for talent development and engagement programs.
Allocate resources effectively to ensure the successful implementation of initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
PHR and SHRM certification preferred.
Five or more years of experience in talent development, employee engagement, or a related HR role, with a proven track record of successful program implementation.
Strong knowledge of talent management, employee engagement strategies, and leadership development practices.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to analyze data and generate insights to drive decision-making.
Experience with HRIS and learning management systems (LMS) is a plus.
Experience in change management and organizational development.
Familiarity with industry best practices and emerging trends in talent development and employee engagement.
