We seek a highly motivated Wealth Advisor to join our team and to provide exceptional financial and investment planning services to our clients. In this client-facing role, the Wealth Advisor will work within a client referral network to manage HNW client relationships referred to Sequoia leaving all business development responsibilities to their partnering Originating Advisors. This role is available in Tampa, FL, or Orlando, FL.
Requirements
Experience managing and retaining a book of HNW client relationships.Ability to connect & maintain relationships with referral partners and centers of influence while meeting deadlines and working in a fast-paced environmentAccountable for retaining assets and maintaining an exceptional client experience by providing comprehensive wealth planning advice, including investment management, retirement, estate and tax planning. Focus on business development is not required.Participate in prospective client meetings in partnership with the Originating Advisor to understand potential clients' goals, needs, and preferences. Responsible for Identifying and recommending appropriate asset management, financial, and estate planning advice and developing an investment proposal.Partner with Sequoia's Client Service Team to onboard new clients.Serve as the primary point of contact for the client relationship, partnering with Sequoia's Wealth Planning, Investment Management, and Client Service teams to deliver exceptional service.Meet with existing clients on a regular schedule to address financial planning and investment management needsAttend client meetings in person, virtually, and over the phone. Some travel is required to attend these meetings.Utilize Salesforce to document all client interactions following compliance proceduresDraft summary emails following client meetings, clarifying understandings and outlining steps for implementation.Manage meeting follow-up, including coordinating internal and external resources; responsible for ensuring client objectives are completed.Lead in collecting financial planning data while working with the Wealth Planning Department (WPD) to develop financial plans.Lead in creating asset management reports to be delivered to clients.Respond professionally to clients, advisors, and team members by phone, email, and written communication.Supervise and coordinate the preparation of meeting materials, including agendas, planning analyses, and investment materials.Coordinate the execution of trade orders with the Asset Management Department (AMD)Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.RequirementsBachelor's degree required in Economics, Finance or related fieldCFP achieved or other industry designation (CFA, CPA, JD)Minimum 7 years as Registered Investment Advisor representative or as a RIA representative for most recent 18 months AND 5.5 years immediately prior as either: Securities Portfolio Manager, Financial Planner, CPA, Registered representative of a full-service broker dealer or bank trust officerTechnical knowledge of all aspects of comprehensive financial planning; including: cash management, income tax planning, insurance, education planning, retirement planning, estate planning, and risk managementPrevious experience working with financial planning software and planning deliverablesCompetent with Microsoft Office suite and Client Relationship Management system such as SalesforceSpanish speaking preferredClean Form U4 is required. U4 can not have any regulatory disclosures, client complaints, arbitrations or disclosable settlements.CompetenciesStrong organization and time management skills; effectively able to handle multiple projects and prioritize to meet established deadlinesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to find creative solutions to problems, devise strategies, and propose solutionsSelf-starter and able to perform job duties with little supervisionCustomer service oriented, with the ability to work independently as well as collaborate with team membersCommitment to efficiently and effectively using provided technology in the service of clients and engagement of colleagues
