Our Mission At Palo Alto Networks, everything starts and ends with our mission: Being the cybersecurity partner of choice, protecting our digital way of life. Our vision is a world where each day is safer and more secure than the one before. We are a company built on the foundation of challenging and disrupting the way things are done, and we’re looking for innovators who are as committed to shaping the future of cybersecurity as we are. Who We Are We take our mission of protecting the digital way of life seriously. We are relentless in protecting our customers and believe the unique ideas of every member of our team contribute to our collective success. Our values were crowdsourced by employees and are brought to life through each of us every day - from disruptive innovation and collaboration to execution. From showing up for each other with integrity to creating an environment where we all feel included. As a member of our team, you will be shaping the future of cybersecurity. We work fast, value ongoing learning, and respect each employee as a unique individual. Knowing we all have different needs, our development and personal wellbeing programs are designed to give you choice in how you are supported. Your Career We’re looking for a UI/UX Designer to join Xpanse, a proactive security product and part of Palo Alto Networks Cortex. Our Internet intelligence platform continuously surveys petabytes of data to find risks online and help protect some of the world’s largest organizations from malicious software and hackers. In this role, you’ll directly contribute to our mission by crafting practical, useful, and beautiful design-centric products. Our designers are collaborative and resourceful. Here, you’ll help shape the future of the product by envisioning, designing, and delivering visually compelling experiences. Your projects will vary widely day-to-day, and you’ll be involved in every part of the design process. Your Impact Synthesize solutions to complex design problems by asking questions to explore problem areas, considering problems from different angles, and exploring new ways to communicate ideas. Create impactful product experiences through compelling visuals and prototypes. Help improve and expand our ongoing Cortex Design System. Apply UI and UX design techniques including user flows, visual design, wireframes, mockup specifications, and prototypes that transform complex concepts into easy-to-understand experiences. Deliver detailed solutions for visualizations, reports, and other customer-facing collateral. Collaborate with peer designers, engineering teams, and product managers to guide the evolution of your product experiences. Bring a pragmatic approach to design that balances the needs of your customers with the time and effort to create the solutions. Improve yourself by continuing to grow as a designer by staying on top of current design trends and technologies. Your Experience You are a designer by heart - you appreciate good design and are passionate about making complex systems simple. At least 2 years of experience delivering UX/Product design for large-scale web applications (please attach a link to your Online portfolio – this is a crucial part in reviewing your application). Knowledge of Figma, extending, and maintaining design systems to increase productivity through reusable components and patterns. Strong Visual Design skills with an excellent eye for details. Understanding of user experience frameworks such as Jobs to be Done, personas, use cases, mood boards, happy paths, journey maps, etc. Experience in enterprise SaaS product experiences - security, networking, or similar product experience is a plus but not required. Comfort with resolving ambiguity through collaboration - not knowing the answer doesn’t bother you, and finding the answer excites you. Team player with simple, direct, and positive communication. Self-managing, self-correcting, autodidact. The Team Our UX team is an integrated part of the Cortex Xpanse Product team. We work closely with the Product Managers, Customer Success, and the Engineering teams to define, design, and build our best-in-class Cyber Security products. We are the user's advocates, the researchers, and the designers that make Xpanse products easier to use and more intuitive. Our team is diverse and inclusive, and we would love you to join us. Compensation Disclosure The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $94,000 - $152,000/YR.
