Rehabilitative ServicesPer Diem81794BRJob SummaryThe Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist reports to the Clinical Supervisor, Speech Language Pathology and provides both direct and indirect patient care services. The Per Diem S.L.P. works primarily with pediatric and adolescent patients from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, although adult and geriatric patients may also be treatedThe Per Diem S.L.P. with specific pediatric competencies may also work with infants, children and/or adolescents.

Under general direction and upon receipt of written referrals, the Per Diem S.L.P. plans and administers a full range of speech therapy services for patients with a variety of physical and cognitive impairments and disabilities.

Services include patient evaluations using speech language pathology tests and measurements, establishment of therapeutic intervention goals and development of therapeutic intervention programs, and implementation of therapeutic intervention plans utilizing all aspects of the speech language pathology scope of practice. The Per Diem Speech Pathologist maintains all applicable patient records related to the delivery of patient care services. While performing job duties, the Per Diem S.L.P. may also supervise support personnel including Rehabilitation Aides.
