The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) tackles the most pressing problems facing Los Angeles with a mission to improve education, health care, homelessness, and social justice for all Angelenos. To support us in achieving these bold goals, we seek an experienced Chief Program Officer (CPO) to serve as the third member of the Executive Leadership Team, and to be a visionary leader responsible for overseeing and driving the strategic direction and implementation of LADF’s programs function, including Grantmaking, Youth Programs, and Initiatives across our four key focus areas of education, health care, homelessness, and social justice.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement a comprehensive vision and strategy for the program function to align with LADF’s overall organizational strategy.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and build the capacity of the Programs department by establishing clear expectations and priorities.
Program & Partnership Development and Management:
Manage major projects with new and existing partners, building and maintaining strong relationships.
Evaluation and Reporting:
Establish and monitor program goals, metrics, and performance indicators to ensure effective program evaluation.
Qualifications and Experience Needed
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in program management or leadership roles within the nonprofit sector.
Demonstrated experience managing a complex program function that includes giving programs/grantmaking.
Experience in sports-based youth development and/or youth development strongly preferred.
Ability to work in partnership with the CEO and COO to manage relationships collaboratively.
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to work a non-traditional schedule, which includes nights, weekends, and some home games (March – October).
