POSITION OBJECTIVES

The Convenience Store (C-Store) Manager drives the success of the store, leading a motivated team to consistently exceed customer expectations and meet financial goals. This role requires strong leadership to ensure that all aspects of store operations run smoothly, meeting Soapy Joe's standards for quality and customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations Management

Direct all daily operations to ensure efficiency, appropriate staffing, and optimal scheduling. Manage inventory through accurate forecasting, ordering, and stock maintenance. Uphold cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards, maintaining a welcoming environment. Sales Leadership

Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals. Assess sales performance and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities. Lead local marketing efforts to boost store visibility and drive traffic. Team Leadership & Development

Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team in alignment with Soapy Joe's values. Conduct regular coaching and performance reviews to support professional growth. Foster a positive, team-oriented culture where staff feel valued and motivated. Customer Experience

Champion Soapy Joe's customer service standards, ensuring a welcoming and positive store atmosphere. Address and resolve customer concerns promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels. Implement customer loyalty strategies to strengthen store reputation. Compliance & Safety

Ensure full compliance with company policies and all relevant regulations. Proactively identify and address potential safety risks to create a safe environment. Conduct regular safety and compliance audits to ensure standards are met. Financial Management

Oversee the store budget and align operations with financial objectives. Ensure accuracy in cash handling and daily sales reconciliation. Monitor expenses and operational efficiency to maximize profitability. Vendor & Supply Chain Management

Establish and maintain vendor relationships to ensure reliable product availability. Negotiate contracts and oversee deliveries to support store needs. Reporting & Administration

Prepare operational and sales reports for management review. Maintain accurate records, including employee schedules, inventory, and sales data. Additional Responsibilities

Collaborate with the District Manager on strategic projects and initiatives. Represent Soapy Joe's at community events to increase brand visibility. Complete additional duties as required to support store operations Requirements

REQUIREMENTS: DEGREE

High School Diploma or equivalent required, Degree preferred REQUIREMENTS: EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES

3-5 years experience working in a leadership role in a convenience store / retail environment 3-5 years experience in a customer service role Demonstrated track record of providing effective training, coaching and development of staff Highly motivated with a desire to work in a fast paced environment Ability to work flexible work schedule including days, nights, weekends, holidays and on-call Strong communication skills REQUIREMENTS: PHYSICAL

Required to be physically capable of executing all essential functions to perform the job with or without accommodation: >80% of the time the employee in this role will be in physically demanding conditions (sun, rain, wind, heat, confined spaces, high volumes of traffic and high-volume noise and sound). Able to move about to access a variety of tools and office equipment Able to consistently operate a computer or other electronic device Able to ascend or descend a ladder, crouch or crawl Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., lift overhead, twist and turn body when appropriate Must be able to communicate clearly through both verbal and written form
