Data Engineer - Data Warehouse

Job Summary
The Data Engineer will join the EDWBI platform team, focusing on building a Data Validation framework, enhancing data quality, and supporting core data warehouse functions. This role involves daily monitoring, continuous improvement, and maintenance of the EDW platform, with a strong emphasis on data quality and integrity. Candidates with 10+ years of experience are preferred, and multiple years of healthcare domain experience is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
•Be part of the EDW data warehouse team, designing and developing the EDW Platform
•Monitor daily data load processes, identifying data issues, and collaborating with IT, Operations, and business teams for data quality improvement
•Assist with technology improvements to enhance the EDWBI platform
•Support ad-hoc data requests from clients and provide business continuity and analytics support
•Maintain and support existing EDWBI applications and reports
Required Qualifications
•Proven expertise in data quality: data profiling, discovery, information chain analysis, and root cause analysis
•Advanced T-SQL skills for writing/maintaining stored procedures and complex queries
•Strong experience with SSIS for developing complex ETL processes
•Attention to detail with a focus on process adherence, root cause remediation, and documentation
•Critical thinker with a balance of tactical and strategic vision
•Exceptional communication skills, tailored to audience level, with an understanding of message impact on the organization or customer
Preferred Qualifications
•Healthcare industry experience with knowledge of authorizations, claims, eligibility, and clinical data
•Intermediate SSRS experience for developing and supporting reports
•Intermediate SSAS experience for supporting analysis cubes
•Experience with MS Master Data Services (MDS) and Data Quality Services (DQS)
•Knowledge of C#, .NET, and VB scripting
•Skills in database performance tuning and SQL statement optimization
Education:
Bachelors Degree
