TEKsystems is looking for a Network Operations Specialist to support a long term contract at the USMC Reserve HQ in New Orleans, LA. This position sits within the NOSR which serves as a Watch Office for the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) Reserve Sites across the country. Tracking outages, resolution, and solutioning with site technician for Layer 1 Connectivity Projects and Problem.
Responsibilities
Monitor the infrastructure and network, responding appropriately to alerts and events.Respond to incidents from triage through resolution, including escalations, where appropriate.Respond to infrastructure repairs, including directing remote activities to maintain operational effectiveness for services.Provide root cause analysis documentation in accordance with Government procedures.Provide data center support where appropriate.Document daily shift activities in appropriate reporting and ticketing tools and ensure proper pass down of any outstanding issues.Provide incident notification to Government representatives.Top Skills
Must have an active secret clearanceMust have CompTIA Security+ CE Certification5+ years of experience in NOC, Watch office, NOSC, networking, etcCCNA will be required for the position; can be granted a 6 month waiverRequirements
