What You'll Be Doing

Job Scope: This exciting opportunity will be helping to support Scheduling needs on location at an industrial facility in the Atlanta, GA area. This position is a hybrid role that can be performed from home part of the time with travel to the site to support local team as needed. This position will be supporting multiple projects at a time. The selected individual would be responsible for the building and integration of contractor/owner schedules and maintaining a Level 2 Master Schedule. Work will be performed under minimal supervision.

Per diem available when travel is required for those who qualify.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Develop and maintain Level 0, 1, 2, and 3 master schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).

Develops resource loaded and cost loaded schedules when required with input from the EPC estimate and project team

Utilize the CPM method with developing Level 2 and 3 schedule

Maintains baselines and as-built schedules to provide comparative data between planned and actuals

Have a familiarity with all trades of construction (civil, structural, mechanical, pipe, electrical)

Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to gather necessary information for scheduling development and maintenance.

Analyze project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and recommend corrective actions.

Analyze critical paths and provide insights on project impacts and risks.

Prepare and present schedule reports for management and external stakeholders.

Ensure adherence to project timelines and milestones.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies regarding scheduling and documentation.

Utilize proper Project Change Management techniques when capturing change orders into the schedule, while providing stakeholders necessary analysis.

Ability to conduct Interactive Planning sessions with project team and external stakeholders

Ideal Background

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field is highly preferred.

Certification: AACE International or Project Management Institute (PMI) certification is preferred but not required.

Experience: This position requires 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in planning, scheduling, cost control and estimating. This position will require expertise in construction sequencing, resource planning, and performance metrics reporting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Knowledge and application of company business standards and good practices.

Extreme attention to detail.

Possesses a comprehensive understanding of the function of all engineering disciplines.

Understanding of existing and potential customer deliverable expectations and preferences.

Ability to set priorities.

Ability to effectively discuss and correspond with engineering disciplines and/or contractors to ascertain and understand pertinent information concerning schedules, scopes of work, estimates and/or project costs.

Coaching and mentoring skills and experience.

Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Excellent presentation skills.

Excellent organizational skills.

Knowledge of other disciplines deliverable development to ensure coordination of efforts.

Knowledge and understanding of schedule constraints and information requirements for the production of all project controls deliverables.

Experienced in scheduling professional service hours and assessing the progress and quality of project controls work. Ability to accurately estimate completion of assigned tasks.

Proficient in the use of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project scheduling software.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.
