POSITION SUMMARY:
Turnaround/Projects Scheduler reports to Turnaround Department supervision and manages overall Primavera schedules. Typical duties include merging/combining various area plans for overall schedule management, producing various reports, curves, schedules and bar-charts for turnaround and projects’ progress management. The position also interfaces closely with Cost Control personnel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Highly proficient within Primavera version 18.8 planning software
Possesses some degree of industrial equipment knowledge and scheduling issues associated with them
Maintains the master “Plan of the Plan” and reports the status to the Management Team regularly
Produces various reporting geared towards schedule compliance, cost tracking, manpower leveling, resource levels, turnaround growth tracking, progress reporting, etc. This is for turnarounds as well as engineered projects.
Interface with numerous contract planners to assure that their projects are per MPC standards
Participates in and helps facilitate schedule logic reviews
Interface with Project Control personnel for status reporting, budgeting, check estimates and control estimates.
Participates in Corporate software improvement discussions
Updating overall “Master Plan” progress for Management presentations.
Assume the “Sergeant at Arms” position over the assigned Primavera file to assure that items are not added or removed after control estimate is complete without proper paperwork
Assure that all coding is correct in the Primavera schedules
Maintain updates to worklist as job cards are submitted from Area Leads
Compile data for close out and performance summary reports for turnarounds
Support and train Garyville Primavera users – assist in developing Planner’s Reference Manual. Troubleshoot problems for users.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management preferred.
Proficient in Primavera 18.8, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Analytics and Itar is a plus.
Five or more years' experience scheduling turnaround and project work in Primavera required. Experience with Analytics or Itar is a plus.
