Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Manager Logistics in our Bowling Green, Kentucky Stamping Facility. The Manager Logistics is responsible for Plan, direct, and coordinate purchasing, warehousing, distribution, forecasting, customer service, or planning services. The ideal candidate will have prior logistics management experience , be detail-oriented and self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:

Manage logistics personnel and logistics systems and direct daily operationsRecommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequencyEstablish or monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systemsCreate policies or procedures for logistics activitiesPlan or implement material flow management systems to meet production requirementsTrain shipping department personnel in roles or responsibilities regarding global logistics strategiesMaintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, or training or safety recordsAccurate utilization of customer portals for shipping requirementsImplement specific customer requirements, such as internal reporting or customized transportation metricsResolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or customer issuesParticipate in carrier management processes, such as selection, qualification, or performance evaluationMonitor product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirementsEnsure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or deliveryDirect distribution center operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectivesNegotiate transportation rates or servicesSupervise the work of logistics specialists, planners, or schedulersPrepare or file environmental certification applicationsNegotiate with suppliers or customers to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainabilityPlan or implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processesCollaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or process, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shippingDirect or coordinate comprehensive logistical or reverse logistical functions for product life cycles, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, recycling reuse, or final disposal of resourcesCommunicate freight transportation information to customer or supplies, using transportation management, electronic logistics marketplace, or electronic freight information systems, to improve efficiency, speed, or quality of transportation servicesReview global, national, or regional transportation or logistics reports for ways to improve efficiency or minimize the environmental impact of logistics activities

Minimum Qualitifcations:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or five years plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience5 years of Materials Experience (Shipping and Receiving)Experience with LEAN Manufacturing philosophyAbility to work all shifts (days, afternoons, midnights)

Preferred Qualifications:

Metal stamping and/or assembly backgroundStrong organizing, planning and problem-solving skillsAbility to train personnelKnowledge of computersAbility to retain information and communicate effectively
