This is a tremendous opportunity to gain valuable real-world work experience with GD Energy Products. GD Energy Products is looking for a college student who desires to work in a fast-paced, dynamic atmosphere and be exposed to all aspects of the Supply Chain, including Logistics, vendor selection, materials planning, inventory control, and distribution.Responsibilities:The intern will support key functions, including:Commodities:
Identifies, develops and grows global and regional suppliers for the commodities. Tracks total spend and savings generated globally and regionally by commodity. Finds methods for cost reductions.Procurement:
Establishes, distributes and maintains the preferred supplier list. Manages and directs the procurement and planning activities. Provides timely and relevant market and benchmark data to support sourcing decisions.Logistics:
Coordinates domestic and international contracts relating to transportation and logistics providers. Ensures logistics meets production schedules and material costs are within forecast limits.Qualifications:Pursuing a degree in business, management, or engineering.Ability to efficiently identify and resolve problemsExcellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to develop excellent working relationships with vendors, customers, and staff at all levels of the organization
