As part of a diverse and hardworking team of professionals, specialists, and engineers, you will support the design and development of the Blue Academy for the Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization including the learning and development programs for new and existing employees as well as programs that educate external partners about what it means to work with Blue. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of Supply Chain operations, driving organizational and policy change to enhance Blue Origin's bottom-line. Our Director, Blue Academy will facilitate and lead the GSC organization to support endless growth for our Blue Origin product. You will develop, mentor, coach, and engage the Blue Origin GSC function, including Procurement, Transportation, Fulfillment, and other GSC teams to provide an extraordinary Customer Service experience for Blue's internal customers and Blue's external supply chain partners. Through your close collaboration across multiple teams, you will understand Blue's strengths and opportunities in terms of employee mindsets and behaviors, and influence our culture to deliver results in both operational results and employee engagement. In this role, you would be fully responsible for the design, development, and implementation of internal functional learning and development programs, tailored to the needs of different levels from Associates to senior leaders. You will understand business needs and design fit-for-purpose learning solutions, building strong relationships with business leaders and supporting teams like HR to stay in touch with, and respond to, the businesses' needs and how learning can help. You will also play a leadership role in leading enterprise-wide efforts to define and implement learning standards and governance to improve consistency and quality in learning solutions across the learning teams at Blue Origin. Long-term, the success of Blue Academy will be evaluated as a business critical change agent, supporting individual and team behavior changes required for business growth and goal achievement. You will grow, cultivate and attract the best talent to ensure success. The Director, Blue Academy will also be responsible for training Blue's supply base about the performance metrics, systems, and processes that will make them successful in their support of Blue's mission, as well as supporting the supplier diversity program and other supplier engagement initiatives, such as our annual Supplier Summit. You will work cross-functionally to develop the vision for what good supplier performance looks like, including alignment to supply chain key performance indicators (KPIs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and agreed contracts and policies.
