Key Responsibilities of the Role: Provide meaningful, actionable advice to small business owners, helping them find peace of mind and success. Implement tech-forward solutions to enhance efficiency and quality. Mentor and coach junior bookkeepers and accountants. Discuss financial results and identify opportunities for improvement with clients. Ensure accurate financial reporting, including general accounting tasks like recording and classifying transactions, preparing month-end entries, maintaining complex schedules, and reconciling balance sheets. Transition new clients to QBO or other cloud-based accounting software as needed.
Who are You? A tech-savvy accountant who loves to advise small businesses on their financial health and strategy. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, with at least 5 years of experience in small to mid-size business accounting/bookkeeping. Accounting Degree (Bachelors or higher) and at least 5 years of related experience with small-mid size business accounting/bookkeeping You know your way around balance sheets and reviewing financials like the back of your hand You are a QuickBooks Online (QBO) whiz with experience utilizing the system within the last 5 years Resourceful and able to explain complex financial concepts in a clear, approachable way. You love helping people and being a part of a team that supports each other Bonus points for:
Experience in bookkeeping or accounting for the automotive repair industry (mechanic shops, body shops, etc.) Experience with internal or external audits
