in your professional career? is looking for a Technology Project Manager in our Central Michigan region. This role will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of technology projects while understanding business needs and requirements. The role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of our Workday system implementation and will have the opportunity to move into other simultaneous projects that are working towards a common strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both project management and business analysis, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. This is a 1099 contract position up to a year with the potential to transition into a permanent role.
What You Will Do:
As the Technology Project Manager, your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:The Technology Project Manager will define project scopes, goals, and deliverables while developing and maintaining detailed project schedules and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.They will lead and motivate project teams, while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.Assists in the testing and validation of new systems and processes to ensure they meet business requirements.Manage project integration activities, including outsourced/contracted work and associated enterprise architecture integration.Provides support to and regularly engages project teams to enhance the organization's project capabilities.Conducts project health checks to ensure IT projects are delivered in alignment with the organization's enterprise architecture, strategy, and project management methodologies.Partner with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements. Analyzes data to identify trends and insights that can inform business decisions.Allocate resources, including team members and budgets, to ensure project success. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and outcomes.Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions. Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team.Design solutions that meet business needs and align with the company's organizational goals. Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required standards and specifications.What You Will Bring to the Team:
Required experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.Eight (8) or more years of experience in general project management in all aspects of IT project delivery.Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile).OR Equivalent combination of the above education, training, and experience.Excellent analytical, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.Proven ability to manage multiple enterprise projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Proficiency with project management (e.g., Microsoft Project, Monday.com, etc.).PMP or similar project management certification is highly desirable.Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both project management and business analysis, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.Ability to rapidly assimilate new technologies and be able to communicate effectively with various teams.Excellent interpersonal skills including analytical, problem solving, organizational, and issue resolution.An ability to work independently and as part of a team in solving business problems.Strong in both written and verbal communication.Motivated, committed, and energetic self-starter dedicated to providing high quality and responsive IT service.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Ability to organize and prioritize daily workload and meet timelines on deliverables.Proficient in using Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
