TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Quality Director located in Atlanta, GA.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining a systemic quality focus for quality and product design. Responsibilities include the establishment and the continuous improvement of a comprehensive design quality program and driving design continuous improvement projects. This key technical and leadership position impacts product quality, product design, product life cycle management, procurement strategy, by building a seamless relationship between suppliers, design, field, and manufacturing functions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Partner with engineering, product management, suppliers, and sourcing to develop robust procedures, Work instructions and policies across all new and legacy products for TK Elevator Improve and refine actionable new product development quality deliverables in the Business Review process Review all Product Requirement Documents and Product Requirement Reviews; establish checkpoints to ensure on-time delivery of milestone reviews Serves as TK Elevator quality team representative for all active legacy products and new product programs Partner with Sourcing, Supplier Quality and Design Quality Engineering to ensure all drawing, specification, CTQ's are systematically defined, agreed to by internal TK Elevator personnel, and communicated to Sourcing for action Develop quality related deliverables for Engineering Change Order processes across TK Elevator Responsible for the Quality function review of all ECOs and supplier implementation of ECOs. Responsible for partnering with Program Management to ensure that new product development schedules are structured to meet the needs of the Product Managers and within the constraints of the Engineering organization Escalates all issues impacting the timely release and quality of all new product development programs to upper management Works as a partner with Engineering and Global Supply Chain to ensure all new product development programs are designed for manufacturability and serviceability. Lead internal and external teams to improve Cost of Poor Quality, Design for Manufacturing and Good Manufacturing Practices Execute to BU Initial Quality Approval audit strategy which includes the development and execution of Standard Product Development Process audits with cross functional team Conduct root cause analysis to develop corrective and preventive action plans. Manage the investigation of field failures regarding design quality and make recommendations for corrective plans.
