As a NextGen Managing Consultant (FLSA exempt role), you'll be responsible for independently leading and managing complex client projects, overseeing multiple resources and ensuring successful execution with minimal oversight. This includes collaborating with stakeholders to define project scope, develop strategic plans, and address potential risks, while proactively identifying solutions and providing subject matter expert guidance on system configurations and optimizations. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential to drive client satisfaction and project success.
Responsibilities:
Independently lead and manage complex client engagements, overseeing multi-resource projects with minimal oversight, ensuring successful execution and alignment with client objectives.
Provide strategic guidance to clients on key business challenges, driving process optimization and implementing solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and long-term impact.
Provide expert guidance on NextGen Enterprise PM, EHR, and ancillary product configurations, customizations, and integrations, ensuring alignment with client needs and regulatory compliance.
Lead as the main point of contact on projects and monitor progress, addressing deviations proactively, managing resources efficiently, and ensuring the delivery of strategic, high-impact results.
Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, while maintaining a forward-thinking approach to risks and opportunities.
Apply strong analytical and evaluative skills to assess project challenges, identify root issues, and propose solutions that address both immediate needs and future outcomes.
Manage client expectations, ensuring engagement, alignment, and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure all project documentation is thorough, including scope, requirements, project notes, billable time tracking, and expense submission, maintaining compliance with internal process.
Communicate complex ideas clearly and regularly with clients and team members regarding timelines, deliverables, and potential issues, ensuring transparency and stakeholder satisfaction.
Lead cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and clear communication to drive project success and innovation.
Proactively identify resolutions and recommendations based on thorough analysis of project data and client requirements.
Ensure strategic alignment of project activities with overall business goals, maintaining a forward-thinking approach to client solutions.
Compile and present findings, insights, and recommendations in clear, insightful reports to guide client decision-making and optimize business outcomes.
Stay current with industry regulations and government initiatives that impact healthcare technology to ensure compliance and relevance.
Complete projects on time and within scope, tracking and reporting all work accurately, and delivering comprehensive project governance.
Comply with internal documentation requirements, including accurate billable time tracking, detailed project notes, expense tracking, and timely submission of all required documentation.
Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in healthcare consulting is required.
Minimum 5 years of NextGen Enterprise experience is required.
NextGen Certified Professional (EHR, PM, EDR, Portal, Document Management) preferred.
Extensive knowledge of NextGen Enterprise and specialty practice needs related to reporting, clinical workflows, and revenue cycle management.
Willingness to travel up to 75%.
Experience in consulting and/or direct implementation experience with ambulatory health information systems preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work, and maintain attention to detail.
Highly responsive to clients with superior written and verbal communication skills.
Proven leadership and project management skills.
Maintain professionalism in both in-person and virtual environments, including personal presentation and written communication.
Strong client-facing skills with previous Consulting experience preferred.
Some Microsoft SQL Server, NextGen Template Development, Tableau, and/or Power BI experience is preferred.
Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge.
Comply with internal documentation requirements, including accurate billable time tracking, detailed project notes, expense tracking, and timely submission of all required documentation.
