This includes ensuring that all compliance requirements are known, there are documented processes, and that evidence of compliance exists. Governance activities include compliance performance monitoring, corrective action tracking, and assessment of compliance program maturity.Position SummaryPosition headquartered in Oakland, CA. This position is "hybrid" with the expectation of being in the office 1/x week (subject to change with business need).The Compliance & Risk Consultant's core function is to support/monitor the compliance and/or risk management framework & tools that enable the organization and employees to conduct business in compliance with applicable standards, laws & regulations, and/or to identify, manage, and mitigate operational risk.The Compliance & Risk Consultant supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of the framework for compliance and/or risk management. May be assigned to support a specific department or area of the business. Scope may be limited to one regulatory agency or may include multiple agencies, laws, and regulations applicable to a specific department or area of the business. Supports revisions to the compliance and/or risk programs and tools as needed based on changes to applicable laws, regulations, and standards. For risk management, develops and maintains a risk register, coordinating with various risk owners to track operational & enterprise risks and the effectiveness of risk mitigation activities. Partners with Subject Matter Experts (SME), Requirement/Risk Owners, and business SMEs to develop controls, and metrics to hold the assigned owners accountable for compliance and/or risk management performance. Supports change management, training, and communication of compliance standards, processes & results and/or risk management standards and risk analyses & assessments. The Compliance & Risk Consultant may also act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and respond to data/reporting inquiries.Primarily office environment with extensive use of computers and numerous phone calls, conference calls, and in-person meetings. Travel requirements vary depending on assigned area of business.PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of thejob posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will bebased on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience,market value, geographic location, and internal equity.Although we estimatethe successful candidate hiredinto this rolewill be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decisionwill be made on a case-by-casebasis related tothese factors.A reasonable salary range is:Bay Area Minimum: $118,000Bay Area Maximum: $188,000&/ORCalifornia Minimum: $112,000California Maximum: $179,000Responsibilities:Support the establishment and maintenance of Compliance Management standards, procedures, and reportingDevelop and drive action plans to achieve and maintain Compliance Program MaturityLead or support the inventory and maintenance of regulatory requirements, including confirmation of compliance owners, and mapping to guidance documents, controls, and risk rankingsPerform compliance gap assessments and provide guidance to Requirement/Risk Owners for mitigation plansProvides expertise to leadership and cross-functional teams regarding development, implementation, and monitoring of controls and mitigation plans.Lead or support the development and implementation of Electric's Compliance Controls ProgramMaintain or support the Electric Compliance Management Communications & Training PlanDevelop and provide compliance related best practice training and training materialsDrive process improvements learned from benchmarking and peer-to-peer reviewsConduct quality reviews on programmatic compliance activitiesMay act as team lead but does not have any direct reports.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience7+ years of relevant experienceDesired Qualifications:Master's degreeCertified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), orLeading Professional in Ethics and Compliance (LPEC), orCertified Internal Auditor (CIA), orCertified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), orCertified Information Security Manager (CISM), orCertified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP), orOther compliance or risk related certification, as applicable4 years' experience managing compliance/risk programs or controlsDemonstrates broad expertise and applies advanced knowledge to wide- ranging compliance and/or risk management issues.Expert level knowledge of assigned area of business including processes and proceduresAdvanced knowledge of and ability to apply internal control concepts and/or risk analysis & assessmentStrong problem solving, project management, and change management skillsAbility to manipulate data and draw conclusions / make recommendationsStrong written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate complex data effectively to a variety of audiences including executivesAbility to influence others in order to achieve understanding, acceptance, and commitment to actHighly flexible, self-directed, and able to adapt well to a rapidly changing environmentAdvanced skills in MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint#featuredjob
