Overview Hartford Healthcare St. Vincent’s Rehabilitation is seeking an Outpatient Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) who has a passion for patient care and strong proficiency in neuro rehab, adult medical communication, voice, and swallowing disorders. Ability to perform Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of swallowing, and/or interest in developing a transgender speech therapy program is valued. This is an outstanding opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in a dynamic team atmosphere with experienced clinicians and some of the best providers in New England. Position Specifics Full Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opening for our new outpatient office in Stratford. The SLP will be responsible for independent performance of medically based communicative and swallowing diagnostic and rehabilitative procedures on an outpatient basis. The SLP will have access to state-of-the-art programs such as respiratory muscle strength training, SPEAK OUT! For Parkinson’s Disease, instrumental swallowing assessments, exercise-based strengthening tools, and voice analysis systems. Training and mentoring to advance clinical skills is available. This position will also require some program development, physician relationship building and community marketing. This therapist will interact with rehabilitation professionals throughout the HHC system of care to ensure that best practices are followed in the provision of care. Data will be analyzed and utilized to improve patient outcomes, and the clinician will partner with program managers to implement, enhance, and optimize clinical programs. This position offers the potential for growth into a leadership position as the site and our network continue to grow! It could also provide the opportunity to work in other HHCRN offices in the general area.
