Speech Pathologist, IP/OP Rehab Per Diem DayPOSITION SUMMARY:
To provide quality goal directed Speech and Language Pathology (SLP) evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning to patients in a variety of age groups with cognitive, communication and/or swallowing disabilities.Inpatient acute care hospital and off-site hospital-based outpatient clinical department.Weekend requirement (1 weekend every 4 weeks).Holiday requirement (rotational basis).
EDUCATION:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences, Communication Disorders or related areas from an accredited college or university.
EXPERIENCE:No previous experience required.
SPECIAL SKILLS:Current certification by the American Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ASHA) in Speech-Language Pathology. Maintains current state of New Jersey license in Speech-Language Pathology. Current BLS certification. May be a CFY candidate. Ability to perform work accurately and give attention to details. Ability to use effective critical thinking and analytical skills. Ability to use effective time management to set priorities and perform job-related responsibilities. Ability to communicate and interact with the health-system, patients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members.
