Position Summary:
Under general direction, manages regional sales activity for Schwarze product line. Develop and implement regional sales plans to meet or exceed sales targets. Directs and trains dealer sales force with regard to product knowledge. Recommends number and size of dealer sales territories. Negotiates delivery, product availability, terms, warranties, sales allowances. Demonstrates products as necessary. Evaluates territory regiments, interviews new potential dealers.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Directs and motivates dealer sales force. Recommends dealer sales territories to Vice President of Sales and Marketing, provides training and guidance using management skills and advises sales force with recommended course of action.
Consults with Vice President of Sales and Marketing for problem resolution and to determine product availability and troubleshooting of equipment.
Forecasts sales of units, both long and short term, using Salesforce, planning skills, and market knowledge.
Conducts dealer sales performance evaluations, provides feedback and assists in development.
Train and mentor dealer sales teams to enhance their product knowledge and sales skills. Provides on-going training for current dealer sales force.
Prepares sales reports indicating volume, margins, and competitive comparisons.
Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, trends, and competitive landscapes.
Advises dealers of established territories, quotas and goals. Coordinates information with sales force.
Demonstrates and promotes products.
Plans and directs territory dealer sales meetings.
Develops territory budget and plans expenditures. Ensures compliance of budget guidelines.

Excellent communication and negotiating skills, both verbal and written.
Must be a self-starter. Able to plan, prioritize and organize own work schedule and that of subordinates/sales force.
Ability to analyze market data and develop effective sales strategies.
Thorough understanding of the government bid process and cooperative purchasing with experience in preparing bid responses.
Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Software, Salesforce, JD Edwards or other ERP Software
Able to travel frequently (Minimum 40 weeks per year) to various territories and/or dealer sites. Able to attend trade shows.
Insurable driving record.
Ability to obtain CDL Drivers License.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
Minimum 4 years previous sales management experience, preferably in an industrial market, with increasing areas/levels of responsibility.
Experience in managing dealer networks is a plus.
