Summary

You will design, develop, test, and integrate real-time weapon simulations for military training devices. This is a hands-on, full life cycle software engineering position for software engineers who desire to grow their skills and career beyond traditional boundaries while creating enduring solutions for a truly meaningful purpose.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop scalable, high-fidelity software for real-time simulation and training applications

Design, develop, code, integrate and test simulation software to meet requirements

Perform integration and configuration of weapon simulations

Fly real military flight simulators to conduct testing and evaluation of delivered software

Troubleshoot and maintain existing simulation models

Apply software engineering principles to complete assigned tasks and schedule commitments

Participate in code reviews as author and reviewer

Communicate progress or needs along with solutions/recommendations to senior engineers

Develop software test procedures, software programs, and related documentation

Utilize modeling tools to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results

Qualifications and Education Requirements

B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent experience required

Ability to obtain and maintain a US Department of Defense Security Clearance

Programming experience in at least one of the following languages:

C++ / Fortran / Ada

Experience with object-oriented programming concepts, techniques, and patterns

Experience with various debugging approaches and tools

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to travel as needed (Domestic and International)

Security Responsibilities

Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Work Environment

Highly collaborative closed room environment with open office space for unclassified tasks. Job duties include regular interaction with fixed base, full cockpit military aircraft simulators, and include the opportunity to learn to fly the aircraft simulation.
